It was a day of double celebration for Bulawayo based Arsenal FC supporters today
The Bulawayo supporters had gathered at the Archers club
First and foremost, the Bulawayo supporters watched the Gunners defy the odds and come out with a massive win away at Wolves
The Gunners had to overcome the huge blow of a dubious red card before half time and showed lots of character
So when the suspicious referee blew the final whistle, the supporters erupted into a joyous celebration punctuated by song and dance
Secondly, before the Wolves game started, the Gooners held a successful meeting that ended with the formal launch of the official Bulawayo branch for all the local Arsenal FC supporters
An interim Bulawayo committee was set up and tasked with the crucial task of mobilising local supporters to join the new branch
The new Bulawayo interim committee will also come up with a plan of action that will help to promote the Arsenal FC brand all across Bulawayo
The new Bulawayo branch is the second of such branches to be formally launched in Zimbabwe ๐ฟ๐ผ
The first branch was set up in the coal mining town of Whange in the Matabeleland North province
There are plans to set up more branches all across Zimbabwe ๐ฟ๐ผ in the next few months
It is expected that during February 2025, two more branches will be officially launched at Plumtree and Harare
Then, in the second half of the year, a special meeting will be held to formal launch the official Arsenal FC Zimbabwe ๐ฟ๐ผ supporters chapter
The same meeting will also come up with a national interim committee for all Arsenal FC supporters in Zimbabwe ๐ฟ๐ผ
For all those who are interested in helping to set up new branches in any place across Zimbabwe ๐ฟ๐ผ, please kindly contact Gooner Daniel Molokele on +263 71 372 6552
Come on, you, Gunners!
